This is my second usrah with Zach, the boy that resembles like me that was trying to find himself, to find his identity, to look for a place in the eyes of his friends and society as well. I believe this is a common phenomena that hits our teens during their young time.

I remember when I took a psychology class that discuss about teenager's emotion, their cognitive components, their interest, their sexually, physically, and emotion development, I remember that my lecturer did mention about teenagers that are trying to find his identity.

So as a future teacher that will deal with all the students which is also a teenager, we should not stop their quest from searching of their true nature, their identity, or return to fitrah. They might get it wrong, but do not scold them, do not mold them forcefully but what is important is that we have to guide them. We monitor their behaviour, give support, motivation and encourage them. When they did something wrong, correct them immediately because even a slightest mistakes could lead to a fatal effect on their growth.

So, what dis I share with him last Tuesday ????

Not much, more on my story telling and his sharing experiences.

If last week we talked about music, this time we talk about peers influence. I didn't plan this topic actually but it suddenly to to my mind and so did we talk about our friends. Since this boy have great influence from his friends and he is not able to rationalize his action, I share the story of my friends. Other than my classmates.

I have many friends, of course everyone do have many friends which comes from different background, so do mine. I share the story of my friends that are consider as samseng or in here at peninsular Malaysia usually  this "friends" known as gangster. I tell him that I mix with everyone, from the smoking, the bullies, the playboys, sexy chicks, the samseng, drug addict, emo guy which act like a freak, the sporty, free hair muslims, always loiter in the club, the gamers (which make gamers as their profession), and still I do not become like them.

But what is the most influential group is those who participate in gang and a dancer club. Its not exactly an official dancer club, it is more to recruiting people who share the same interest in dancing. At that time as I recall, shuffle, c walk, tektonik, puppet and jump style are most of the popular dance among teenagers. The dance fever hit Sandakan and they battle on the dance floor, sometimes in the club. But it is so much fun when you do it at school !

Besides that, there is one more epidemic that hit on Sandakan. The rise of fraternity. I will not talk about this concerning it is consider as 18SG elements (I rate this by myself), but this is more to gangsterism. I was even invited to join certain gang since my friend wish me to join with them, but I deny.

What am I trying to share with Zach is no matter who we befriend with, we have to take care of ourself. Take the good example, left those are not. As easy as that. Even I mix with these friends, I never regret because of them, I learnt a lot of reality of life. THANX GUYS !

Hope he will  get the lesson from me, wait for another episode . . .

Today I went to meet a boy, about 14-15 (I guess) at Proton City to conduct usrah with him and give some advice or teach about fardhu ain knowledge. This is to fullfil his parents wish for me to guide this boy, namely Zach to the right path, show him the Islamic way, avoid him from stray any longer and deviate more from the Islamic compass sirathol mustaqim.

I  nearly feel choked as I heard the situation of the boy. 

"Hmm, interesting, a boy who is trying to search for his identity, loss in the middle of his quest, and sink to the bottom of despair as he follow peers"
 
"I feel like finaly I met junior Heng Tiger because Zach remind me of myself, we have so much common, same interest and even the same boat of situation" I whispered to myself.
That's why I decided to help this couple to aid as possible as I can, as long as I still at Tanjong Malim.

At about 4.30 pm I hurry to their house and then I realized, I haven't plan my lesson plan ! I didn't even know what to share with him. Prayer ? Ikhtilat ? Fasting ? Islamic issues ?

Not a single clue stick on my mind. O Lord, help me to help your humble creature.

How should I start ? What should I share ? When can I start to preach him ??
Those are questions that pop out in my mind but I can't figure the answer yet. 

I arrived, I enter the house after Zach invited me in. 
How do I start ? What kind of usrah should I conduct with this boy ?

Spontaneously I asked him if he know how to tune a guitar because as long as I remember he can play very well in acoustic and electric guitar, besides now I have a guitar which haven't tune yet because I don't know how to tune it and I want to leave tuning to him. 

And that is how we start our conversation. We talk about music that we like, and obviously we have some common on music genre. Wow, this is great since we talk and keep talking about music. Alesana, Motionless in White, Bring Me The Horizon, Paramore, Asking Alexandria, Good Charlotte, My Chemical Romance, Atreyu,  Slipknot and so on. I found a true music appreciation in this boy ! So great !

"So far so good, we get along together very well" I think.

He shows enthusiasm in our conversation and he also told me that some of his friends and even him get bullied in the school because they were considered as freak. This perhaps happen since they love underground music and hate those mainstream music : dubstep, R&B, girlish song (eg Justin Bieber) and got discrimminated by their peers because of their unusual and weird song genre. He even told me that he always got scolded by his mother because he made those rock stars as his idol but his mother doesn't like it because they are not a good example to be made as role model. I do agree with his mother at this point but I might agree if he admire those rock star's talent in music.

His friends at school used to splash water on them, punch them in stomach and sometimes throw away their songkok in the drain. Despite all the hates they receive, they just remain silent and keeping away from them. He even tell me that he glad to be himself, his true self. He doesnot change to follow the mainstream, he just follow his interest and his interest lay on screamo music ! Way to go Zach !

Before I left at 7, I advice him just be himself, but I didn't elaborate more on it because what I mean is we follow our own fitrah as a human who seeks for truth, peace, and God. If he wanna play guitar, if he wanna hear to his music, go on. Just don't let it get you stray away from Allah, The Almighty Lord.

Perjuangan

Habis peperiksaan, ada lagi kerja yang perlu disambung dan diteruskan. Selain itu ada sedikit waktu yang mampu aku luangkan untuk aku dan hobi aku. Teringat ketika aku yang bertungkus lumus mempersiapkan diri dalam menghadapi getir peperiksaan, saudara-saudaraku mempersiapkan diri dalam bertempur dengan kerajaan diktator, puak Zionis yang saban hari menjatuhkan bom-bom mereka, puak Syiah yang berdendam dengan golongan Sunni dan menyembelih saudaraku di Asia Tengah, tidak henti dengan hujan peluru yang diberikan kepada yang menentang dan aku pula, di sini dan hanya mampu kirimkan doa sambil menumpukan sepenuh perhatian kepada peperiksaan.

NEW YEAR CELEBRATION

Wow, that was quick ! Time pass faster than we thought and guess what ? I can tell you that I can remember what happen last year like it was happen yesterday !

We are now in a new beginning of a new year. And that means I move forward and my age shift to a slight increase which represent I live longer another year !

Here is something that I wanna tell you :
I got bad news and good news for all of you and let me start with the good news

GOOD NEWS - you seems having a great time in corresponding to the increase of your age as it inferred that you have live longer. CONGRATULATIONS. Long live HENG TIGER !

Here is the BAD NEWS - Again congratulation ! You are reaching closely a step forward towards your mortality age and that data infered that you are moving forward for a phase call DEATH ARE AWAITS FOR YOU ! Good luck with your amal that you wanna bring to meet the GREATEST KING among KING !

Statistically and after taking consideration for several simple mathematix such as probability and calculus in additional natural selection theory proposed by well known Charles Darwin : It is proven the more you celebrate new year and birthday, there are high chance for you to meet God and say Hi.

For your family of course, what else do you guys thinking just now ????


Do you call your mummy often, as you call your love one ?
Do you call your siblings as much as you call your special one ?

More importantly, do you call our Almighty Creator 5 times a day, in addition bonus with qiam to gain His pleasure ? Not to mention all other worship that is sunnat muakkad ?

So, how exactly do you deal with your special one ?

No texting, no facebooking, no eye contact (meeting each other, unless you have important stuff to discuss about), no phone call is how I dealt with it. As long as you keep your distance between your ajnabi and your feeling to her is sincere and would bring the relationship onto jannah, we can avoid one typical disease that is JEALOUS and congratulation, you just save yourself and your love one from satan's incitation, from your biological lust and slander !
